If you are on a channel page (like lights) and there's no
navigation, and say you've turned something on/off the easiest way to
get back to the starting point is to just Push the Knob (no turns)
The easy way to keep Audrey from shutting the screen off in the
Photon menu select, Control Panel, Blank Off
(or turn it back on 600 seconds)
The Photo/slide show viewer has it's own options controling its
starting, and timeouts.
There's a line in the boot.sh file that has reference to a mount named
/pics, this is the preferred location, it is commented out by default.
Otherwise you'll need to dig into the shell script (
/nto/photon/savers/RandomPic.sh ) and tweak to your liking
When you're in a Photon session you will need to tap on the
background for the buttons to work correctly
To edit a file (text) you can use 'ped' ( on the shelf menu
) and then browse to open the file.
For editing , moving, copying files use the FileExplorer
(located on the shelf menu).
To edit using the FileExplorer, first find your file that you
want to edit, then on the file menu select open with ...
... type 'ped' in the dialog, and you'll
have a nice little gui editor open with the file you selected.
Pressing enter over a .gif file will open it in paint.
In the File Explorer you can highlight and 'Inspect'
files, this allows you to tweak the rwx permissions for the file
Notes:
Only one browser type (either Voyager or Browser) should really
be open at a time.
Voyager is available in Photon, the original Audrey s
browser is referred to as "Browser" availabel through channels or the
button
There are several options on how Voyager starts, referr to the QNX
documentation (voyager startup options are in the
/nto/photon/bin/voager.sh script)
If voyager is open, the filmstrip/Channel app won't open the
browser, and voyager doesn't redirect from it properly.
